Original art for worlds that feel almost familiar.
Northbound Posters is a Melbourne-based independent art studio creating original, design-led prints for people drawn to cinematic atmosphere, speculative worlds and the quiet details that stay with you after the story ends.
Each piece begins with a mood, an idea or a visual metaphor. We explore composition, colour and texture, then refine the artwork for print—so the finished piece can hold a room without explaining everything at once.
How the work is made
From first idea to finished print
Every design is developed as an original artwork—not a replica of familiar promotional imagery. Each final piece is reviewed at multiple sizes and prepared to preserve its detail, colour and character on paper.
Printed to order
Our art prints are produced to order with a professional production partner, helping us avoid unnecessary inventory and waste. Each order is carefully packed for its journey.
Why Northbound
Worlds that stay with me.
I started Northbound Posters to make art for the worlds that stay with me after the screen goes dark: an impossible building, a quiet room, a landscape that feels familiar until something shifts. Each piece is designed in Melbourne and printed to order in Australia.
Made for thoughtful spaces
Northbound is for people who like their interiors considered and their stories slightly unresolved. The collection moves between quiet systems, impossible architecture, distant horizons, domestic rituals and moments of connection.
We make artwork that feels familiar without revealing everything at once.
